Doilies are a closed subspecies of Lacies. I am not claiming I own lace, animal ears and tails, or doilies but this is my version of a doily inspired species.

Doilies (singular; Doilie, plural; Doilies) are animated creatures made out of fabric and threadings. A Doilie is born when strong memories or feelings of loneliness are invoked at the time of use. They appear in place of the doily and retain certain characteristics. Their human-like appearance and personality are based on the wisher's ideal company. Doilies may have certain aspects associated with tea, desserts, and flowers depending on the doily and their environment during birth.

• Doilies are born from feelings/memories of loneliness and only from doilies.
  
• They are often born during solo tea parties.
• Doilies are used in flower arrangements as well, so they can potentially be born to florists etc. As long as a doily is involved in the moment their birth is pretty flexible so have fun with the history! If you want it approved in a "canon manner" then note me! Otherwise, you really don't have to follow any of this species information 100%.
  
  
• Doilies are born from either fabric or paper doilies as long as the doily holds some form of importance.
• Because of this, Dollies are less common than Lacies because not many people would keep a doily precious or at least reuse the same one over and over.
  
  
• Unlike Lacies, the owner doesn't initially have to have a good heart/intentions. They are born from loneliness independent of their partner's moral alignment. 
  
  
• They have animal characteristics either because their partner is kemonomimi and so it's normal for them or if their partner has strong attachments to their favorite type of animal. i.e. Partner is human or a different species of animal from what their Doilie is, but loves dogs and a dog is pretty much their ideal company. So then the Doilie would have dog ears and tail etc.
  
  
• Design based on tea time/flowers. Doilies may have certain aspects associated with tea, desserts, and flowers depending on the doily and their environment during birth.
• They tend to smell like their inspiration. (i.e. a strawberry mousse Doilie would smell like strawberry mousse!)

• **The only difference anatomy wise is that Doilies have silky smooth skin and their heart is the original doily they're born from. And they have the doily look wrapped around their outer ears and tail.
