Cherubuns are a closed species. I am not claiming I own angelic themes, animal ears and tails, or crystals but this is my version of an angel inspired species. Meaning I don't want to see an exact replica around.

Cherubuns are a fantastical species with fur that resembles angelic wings. They possess arcane crystals on their bodies that are blessings that develop during early childhood. Most have arcane crystals on their ears and tail, giving them talent in sensitive hearing and speed. Some develop rather specific talents-- a crystal on the chest may result in having a beautiful voice for example. However, they must protect their gift: if their crystals were to be completely shattered, their talents will be rescinded.

• Simply put they are creatures that are blessed with crystals that enhance a specific part of their body.
  
  
• They don't have feathers, but feather-like fur if that makes sense. Their actual hair tends to be very soft and wispy.

Arcane Crystals

Arcane crystals are said to be god given gifts. Their locations signify their talents and to ignore their usage is frowned upon as a Cherubun.

• It's not just for show, a crystal on the tail will provide strengthened legs and crystals on the ears provide enhanced hearings. Most have these blessings so it is the most common.
  
  
• The crystal location will sparkle/shimmer until the solid crystal forms magically. 
• Sparkles appear at 5-10 years of age and fully developed crystals appear at the beginning of puberty. (Visual WIP)
  
  
• If the crystal were to be completely broken, their talent will be revoked and they will even become disabled. 
• EX. A complete broken tail crystal will follow with total paralysis in the legs. A half broken crystal will result in weakened legs.

    Blessing Examples by Location

These are examples of the crystals effects depending on the location. Note: They do not necessarily all apply. (EX. Those with forehead crystals may be extremely intelligent but they can be batshit crazy.)
 
Forehead Mentally sound, high intellect

Eyes Enhanced sight (can see instantly in the dark). 
    Those who have crystal eyes are rumored to have seen god before birth.

Ears Pitch-perfect hearing (very useful for musicians), enhanced hearing in general

Chest Amazing voice, high stamina

Upper Back Strong arms, sturdy, can lift amazing weights

Tail Strong legs, fast, agile
