I'm planning on making some keychains myself, and selling them on etsy, but may I ask is it not illegal to use copyrighted characters?
I am not accusing you of anything bc/ I know many people do this but I just wouldnt want any legal issues ^^"
So is it okay as long as you credit the original artist?

It's sort of a universal thing to be able to sell fanart! I'm not too sure on the legal issues but as long as it's your own interpretation (artwork) of it it should be okay. Or else the police would be knocking down the doors of anime conventions all the time because of artist alley!
