ADOPTABLE 17- Bunny $15 [Closed] by niaro ADOPTABLE 17- Bunny $15 [Closed] by niaro
Now belongs to ~lwyn

To those people who think she is too expensive I could care less. You can comment on it being too expensive for you without being a total nob and I'll say oh that's alright! thank you anyway! Instead you want to fucking make the buyer and the artist both feel bad FOR WHAT? Just move adoptables. This expensive girl is not worth your valuable time so just MOVE ON and buy an adoptable more worth your time. But no you have to stay and comment "SHE'S SO EXPENSIVE IT'S SO UNFAIR HOW COULD YOU?? I'VE BOUGHT BETTER FOR LESS" Then good fucking for you? You want a reward? Just move on and buy a better one instead of yelling at the artist and also treading off potential buyers. Because really, does doing that make you feel good? I guess you want to state your opinion which is nice but my adoptable and price is not the place for it and MUCH LESS THE PLACE FOR BEING RUDE. Seriously you people baffle me and my patience is thin. I absolutely hate constantly justifying myself since CLEARLY I THOUGHT ABOUT THE PRICE AND DECIDED TO PUT IT THERE FOR WHATEVER REASON. I'm not forcing you to buy it so get out of my adoptable I can make her $100 if I want and who cares? That just means she's not going to be bought and it's none of your business. I like that you think it is.

Sorry for the rant and on the other hand thanks for the people that support me. And if you notice they're not being white knights, I've been reading, they're reasonable and sharing their own opinion since you decided to engage with yours.

But yeah I'm done with comments like these.

hi it's been a while since I've done any of these mdhgfnh

I notice this is a posted rather a while ago, but im very sorry to hear that you have encountered rude comments regarding the price of your art. It is completely your decision to price and adopt whatever you want, and I agree that you arent forcing anyone to buy it, and people dont need to go out of their way to say that your art is overpriced. I can respect their opinions, but if they comment rather rudely, it makes me angry inside that someone, instead of simply moving on with their life, decides to kick an artist in the gut and say their art is not worth what it is, and moreover probably making the artist upset somewhere in the deepest depths of their kind hearts. it is a blessing to have artists share their creativity through adoptables.

I actually think that this adoptable is very cute and the art is very pretty, considering the art is part of the purchase. the coloring and shading especially appeals to me, since its one of my weaker spots. also, sometimes its inspirational to have a rather simple yet cute adopt, since sometimes we may stress ourselves into super tiny intricate details too much (nothing against such adopts though, its nice to see a change in design complexity sometimes!). this post as a whole itself is very motivational for fellow artists, that we can, and should, price our art depending on our own judgments, since the artist is the only one who truly knows how much time and effort went into the adoptable. im really glad this adoptable sold, because it shows rude commenters how some people are happily willing to purchase these "overpriced" adoptables. And its even worse when they start "pitying" the buyer of the adoptable for being ripped off, the buyer should also have the right to believe they are getting their moneys worth. Some people are able to point out overpricing without being rude, which is fine by me. however, some people decide to go around upsetting both the artist and buyer by rather rudely interjecting, just because an adoptable is overpriced in their standards.

I apologize for the rather long comment and for filling in your inbox, but I felt the need to get that out of my system. thank you so much for being such a motivational artist and person in general.

Sorry for the really late reply! I'd like to say thank you for your words on the matter and looking back on it I wish I was more mature and I didn't reply so heatedly. But yeah even though my words were heated my feelings were really true and I was quite disgusted.

Thank you very much for taking the time to write your input! Q_Q I hope you have a fantastic time on DA <333

Seriously...I've just began doing adoptables and already ran into this kind of stuff. I tried to sell my first adoptable for 2$, and I was told the same exact thing "OMG TOO EXPENSIVE!". What the hell? Do these people even know the amount of hours artists take to create these pieces? Good for you. Sell your adoptable for whatever price you think it's fair.

Anyone else who thinks it is too expensive, here's what you can do: find a cheaper one from someone else. Simple.

Thank you for your comment aaaa There will always be people with those opinions! Keep going, keep selling your art for what you think it's worth. Those who'll think it's worth it will buy it and if not? No harm! You're not forcing anyone's hand for just setting a price.

Exactly. You don't go on stores screaming how expensive things are. You just don't buy it. And even if the problem was, lets say, a person who really wants your adoptable, but that particular person is poor. If that person asked me politely, messaged me, explained the situation, ANYTHING other than shouting "TOO EXPENSIV3 U CR4ZY!!11!", I would happily consider it and maybe sell it to that person for a cheaper price.

So yeah, I'm not listening to that kind of people anymore and good for you for not listening either. Finding your posting really helped me...you know...getting some of the guilt of my back -.-

Keep up your good work I loved your gallery :dummy:

I don't understand why other DA artists feel the need to devalue their peer's work...? Isn't it a good thing that artists should be payed well? It means better pay for yourself in the long run if your community values artwork more. Instead of trying to demean or devalue another artist's success and worth, we should be encouraging it.

Not to mention it's just plain rude to say such things. 'Freedom of speech' doesn't mean 'freedom to be an asshole.'

I hope ~lwyn Enjoys the adopt! Although I thoroughly enjoyed ~Nyanobyte's idea of it becoming an adorable trap. Either would be adorable actually. :iconheplz:

Speaking of your adopts, I still use the nekomata I got from you in an rp. XDD I need to make some more official art of that bby!

i am saddened by Frontiiers comments. quit aside from unneeded caps and making comments that are a little rood and more than a little confusing to read, it's just unneeded to make comments like that.

o, one thing i would like to say to Frontiier is that you really shouldn't cut from one sentence to another, it makes your writting choppy and hard to focus on.

no, i have questions about adoptables. See, i like to make my own characters, my question is why do people make adoptables? are they for people who arn't that good at drawing, so they can have there own characters or are they used as a way to give someone the right to use some of your character ideas? design, some combination of the two or is it something else that i've compleatly missed.

When purchasing the adoptable you're purchasing the right to the character character and the right to the art, you can use it for a lot of things and it's interesting to see different artists' ideas and I even own a few.

Awww, I really love her! And I think the price is very fair. People have to understand that adoptable makers need money to survive, and many people use it as their only source of income. Of course it's not cheap, because each adoptable is hand drawn and isn't pumped out by a machine. Charging under $10 an hour is completely unreasonable for art, premade or otherwise. Anyone who thinks otherwise is crazy and obviously hasn't given commissions/adoptables a try as a fulltime career. Art and character designs are a luxury. Why should a luxury item that you do not require to live be anywhere near "cheap"? Don't feel bad, and don't lower your prices to fit other people's low standards! Deviantart has a history of underpricing artists and lowering the value of art as a whole. Don't buy into it! Keep your prices how they are, or even give 'em a raise if you feel you should!!

I would definitely buy her if I had the money right now.. e v e She'd make such an adorable trap~ So maybe if she's still open by the time I get enough I'll take her!

Thank you so much haha;; I mean it doesn't bother me that people think it's expensive it just bothers me that there's something that need to be said because tbh I'm really sick of answering long windedly in order to justify my actions. If it's rly that terribly expensive can't people look over it just move on to an adoptable worth your time tbh

:iconmingcryplz:waah this is really adorable but i agree with ~La2tFrontiier that this is a bit expensive? I understand that you put effort into it and all and i dont know how much you charge for commissions but
think of it as a premade? not something that was really requested, just drawn/could be out of your own fun and just a way to make quick money out of it? idk it doesn't really seem fair to other adopt makers, especially since it's got a really simple design.

i'm not really sure why i'm even typing this omg
</end opinion>

I'm actually surprised since I've sold ones for 12 before that takes less effort than this one that I'm getting comments on it being way overpriced. I'm surprised that this gets banged on for $3 more when it's actually way more HQ than what I tend to do for 12.

I honestly don't mind if people think it's expensive, I'd just rather they not feel the need to yell at it because I don't see the point since I don't see myself forcing anyone to buy it. I respect all opinions as long as they're civil, no worries.

thanks.

It really isn't your choice and I respect your opinion but I think it's a shame that she has to be basically littered with comments thinking she's too expensive when there are so many adoptables people can buy instead of wasting their time with this one because who the hell is forcing anyone to buy anything I can't reach into your pocket and throw this adopt at your face.
